Now, we’re asking for your help. Help to make the Chrysalis client everything you want and need. Because today, we just released the very first alpha version of the new client.

Please download it, kick the tires for a few days, and then tell us what’s right and wrong, what works and what doesn’t, and what’s missing.

As with any test alpha, there are a few known issues we’re still ironing out. The build is also far from feature-complete. Many favorite new features have not yet been turned on…expect them to roll out in the coming weeks/months.

Please only download the alpha if you are an active user and looking to provide feedback. It’s not yet ready for beginners. A Windows PC is required, running IE 8. The alpha is only available in English.

Building a new product from scratch is a daunting process. And make no mistake…while all the power of the original BitTorrent Mainline remain at the core, Project Chrysalis is a true metamorphosis of features and style.

Hashing the public key to obtain the nodeid would be done with a timeconsuming hash function and many rounds to discourage brute force attepts to generate a suitable nodeid.
Obviously the node won't be able to decrypt incoming requests unless it owns the private key associated with the public one.
This makes it really hard for a node to pick a nodeID similar enough to a given infohash. Boom no more poisoning!

It is being hosted at kickass torrents and has the aim to be public. If I try to put it on pirate bay, it always gives error messages.
"Torrent reactor" or "Torrent box" are not working too for my post. They talk about error in trackers or "wrong files". I´m assured that all my files are integrate.
I heard that it´s possible to create a torrent only with DHT ( need seeds there of course), without the need of trackers.
In my new torrent, the trackers I put have seeds, on DHT shows 0 seeds.

If a kind soul knows how, I´d like to know how to make seeds appear on DHT, on a newly created torrent, being independent from pirate bay. The "Check for Virus" option did not appear in the right-click menu anymore. I opened the app in the Category list to the left of the interface.

• I selected the "Run antivirus on DL" (not sure about the wording), and pressed the Apply button, nothing happened.
  
• I pressed the Update Definitions button, nothing happened.
  
• I pressed the Scan All button, nothing happened.

So, I uninstalled the BitDefender app, hoping that a reinstall would fix the problems. It uninstalled fine. But I cannot find a way to add the app again. It doesn't appear in the app Utilities list, I could only find music, when I searched for a torrent.

Does anyone know how I can reinstall antivirus to BitTorrent? I found BitDefender convenient, but I'm not married to it.

I'm trying to increase ratio of download/upload. My dl is fine and pretty fast but it doesn't seed much and very slow upload speed, like less than 1.0kb/s or something(it fluctuates up to 50kb/s or something)whereas dl is like up to 1mg or so.

I have almost 150 torrents set to "seeding" but total upping is very low. I tried stopping all torrents(status "Finished") and set 5 or 6 torrents back to "Seeding" but still low upload speed.

How can I improve this situation so my ratio will go up? Having too many torrents, almost 150 slows down the upload speed?

I just upgraded to the new BitTorrent 7.6.1. Generally, I read very carefully when installing new upgrades/programs..

Unfortunately I was in a hurry when I upgraded bitTorrent the other day and thus I must've installed the add-ons related to BitTorrent by mistake.

Today when I started Firefox I noticed that my starting page had changed to "conduit" search engine or something.. I also noticed that a new BitTorrent searchbar had been installed.

So my questions are:

Are there any other add-ons related to BitTorrent that I might have installed accidentally?

How do I remove/uninstall these? (I want to get rid of them completely)
