I'd like to be able to set a global preference that ignores files (doesn't download) below a threshold size.

Automatically ignore files below user-set size

If this is to prevent downloading of those microscopic (sub-1k files) in an attempt to save bandwidth, it's not going to work. Cross-file pieces force those files to be downloaded anyway.

It's to avoid the advertisement/how-to text files that often accompany torrents.

Your knowledge is much deeper than mine, so I can't really respond directly to your comment; except to say that currently I can manually highlight the small files, right-click, and choose "Don't Download". When I do this it appears that the files don't download. I would simply like a preference which says: "Don't download files smaller than ____" to automate this process.

Except that the data of those files DOES download because you have and are downloading adjacent files.

The link you sent was ambiguous on this subject.
In any case, I'm not specifically trying to save bandwidth, so I don't care if those small files get downloaded in the background as a temp files and are then deleted automatically.
What I am concerned about is that I don't want to have to repeatedly delete small useless files from my incoming folder.
It's the file maintenance that's the issue. I don't care about another 100k of bandwidth use. I care about always having to delete 2-3 files that I don't need.
