Mechanix
To anyone who can help, We have just purchased a new Windows 8 laptop and have since installed BitTorrent 7.9.2 on it. We tried putting BitTorrent to use, but for over 3 days it hasn't advanced past the "Finding Peers 0.0%" stage. Two different torrents from the same (trusted) site have given us the same problem, and the antivirus software currently installed is avast! Did we miss something? Any help would be appreciated.

Harold Feit
Then your "trusted site" isn't so trusted. Try torrents from http://www.slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php
Mechanix
Actually, I found out that the "trusted site" wasn't accepting the latest version of BitTorrent. Downloaded 7.8.2. and it's working just fine.
Harold Feit
Remind them that using old versions isn't supported.
