Could be any number of reasons including not having enough sources and your internet security software interfering.

I have this same exact problem, even when attempting to download very popular and healthy torrents, the download will not start and it say's "WARNING: Possibly insufficient sources." When I click on the "Trackers" tab I see that "Local Peer Discovery" is listed as working as is "Peer Exchange", however, next to "DHT" it says "waiting for announce..." In addition to this, all the tracker sites are listed and next to each them it says the same thing, "An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions." Does anyone know whats going on? I've been using Bittorent for years now and this problem just arose. I know it's not being caused by my security settings or anything because I literally turned off my firewall and lowered by internet security settings to their base levels just to see if it would work again and it didn't. Please help.

ok, thought this was just my problem. receiving exactly same messages on bitorrent. tried turning off firewall, disabling norton. even tried connecting on public wifi networks as well as my home broadband. still nothing. at first, some trackers were reporting "actively refused by machine" errors. deleted those, as some people advised. added some public trackers, again on some people's advice. getting a lot of "connection timed out" messages too. any ideas about what the problem may be, please? jonesing for torrents now. lol!

Help! I have the same problem, too. I've disabled my antivirus and still nothing happens.
And btw I looked at Loggers tab. It says this:
[2012-02-03 03:30:54] total physical memory 1063497728 max disk cache 33554432
[2012-02-03 03:41:03] Accepted launch|Type: auto Location: C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\My Documents\Downloads\[BakaBT.130474v1] Victorian Romance Emma Second Act.torrent
And when I look at the Trackers tab, it says that the torrent is either invalid or expired.
Any suggestions? :'(
