Uploaded file instead of torrent file

I have completed a torrent download with Bit Torrent.  I started to seed the file this morning but instead of reloading the torrent file into Bit Torrent I loaded up the already downloaded folded file of 1GB plus or more  (in error) this worked for a few minutes until I removed it and uploaded the correct Torrent file.  My question is will this corrupt the file for leechers?  Are there any privacy or security issues involved?
