k, in the older version I had, i always had the option of what files I will be downloading within the torrent. Can I do this in this version 7.6.1, and if so how do I turn that option on....thanks

I think from what others have said that it's not bittorrent, its piratebay.. They've switched to only magnet downloads.

I tried downloading a torrent from a different site and it lets you choose what files. ITs cause piratebay is magnet downloads instead of directly downloading the torrent file.

www.kat.ph is a pretty good torrent search engine but my question is why does the new Bit Torrent still download files you chose to not download when you open a torrent file. All the files that are marked as "skip" are still downloaded?

Probably because of cross-file pieces.
