after a few minutes of running bit torrent slows all downloads to a total of 10kbps. I dont see what I am doing to cause this. I dont have any bandwith restrictions set in the program and if restart bittorrent it speeds back up for a bit before slowing again. any clue anybody please?

I think it's the user like you said.
Does it happen to every file you try and download. Go through and double check all your settings and make sure windows firewall is allowing bit torrent to do it's thing. Now go get some porn and rub one out on your keyboard.

alright so where is the restriction coming from? it cant be any individual users. and cant be all the torrent server websites.... any clue people? someone isn't talking.

has anyone investigated if the ISP (the one YOU see the inet thru) is doing torrent/rate/speed limits? they may be selectively doing it based upon traffic, consider yourself 'watched' at every moment.

check the Transfer Cap settings, are they corrupted?

is your AntiViruss software hogging time and slowing it? some will attempt to recheck the entire .bt file every time they get updated by BT
