  1. I wake up my laptop every morning to find and add my usual torrents to Bittorrent and the speed is extremely slow. After I restart the program the speed is back to normal. At the time I've got no existing downloads, only uploads. I've tried to Google my way to a solution but I could only find two others with the same problem as me and they were at this board. Unfortunately their posts had been archived. Like one of the other guys said, it's not really an inconvenience, just a bit annoying if I forget to restart. Build 43389 Ad-free if that matters
  2. Hi all! This is not my first post about this, but no one seem to be able to help me and now it's getting worse, so I'll try again. Since the last update ( I have version 7.8.2) I've been having the following problems: I have to use Task Manager to shut down BitTorrent after my laptop's been in Windows Hibernation or else the torrents will start to download at full speed only to stop completely after 10-20 seconds While downloading I have to go and make coffee or take a power nap because the laptop is more or less useless until the downloads are done. I can't browse the web or explore files and folders because it's slower than a sloth on Xanax, watching movies is out of the question as it only stutters and the screen looks like someone had an accident at the paint shop. I can only have three active downloads at a time or else everything chokes up so bad I have to kill Windows and reboot. Torrents gets stuck in flush mode, sometimes for minutes Ok so these are my issues... Should I try a different torrent client? I did, uTorrent acts the exact same way, Vuze doesn't nore does Bit Comet, but I don't like their interfaces. Do I need to format my laptop? Maybe, as it's been a year or so, but everything else is peachy except for the torrent problem. Is this all in my mind? No. I'm sad to say, if I don't find the answer here, I will go on a quest to find a different client even though it breaks my heart. Thanks for your attention /dia
  3. Since the new build 29463, clicking magnet links and sometimes even browsing seems to slow Firefox down to a point where it eventually stops responding. This only happens when I have active downloads, when only seeding everything works fine. I've got 100/10 and never download at full capacity, so it's not lack of bandwidth. It started to occur the same day I downloaded the new build so I'm pretty sure there's a connection. Edit: I've been trying to find a solution to this problem on my own but to no avail. Now it's gotten so bad that it has rendered my laptop completely useless while downloading. Firefox not responding, can't watch movies with VLC because it stutters and bleeds, games won't start, even explorer won't open. As soon as the download is done, everything goes back to normal. It looks like there's a memory issue but I can't figure out wat to do. I'd rather not use another client. Please help, anyone?
