To anyone who can help, We have just purchased a new Windows 8 laptop and have since installed BitTorrent 7.9.2 on it. We tried putting BitTorrent to use, but for over 3 days it hasn't advanced past the "Finding Peers 0.0%" stage. Two different torrents from the same (trusted) site have given us the same problem, and the antivirus software currently installed is avast! Did we miss something? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, A new install of Windows 8 and Bit Torrent is causing problems. previously downloading from Pirate Bay was simple. Selecter the torrent and BitTorrent open up and did its job perfectly. Now BitTorrent doesn't start but loads of other things start to get offered for download. How do I stop there being offered? Thanks davidmm
I installed SoShareIt on Windows 8 and started transferring a big file (20G). Computer hanged in a couple of hours. Now after rebooting computer it hangs in about a minute after booting into Windows 8 desktop. Is it a known problem? Is there a way to fix this? I tried to rollback Win8 to a restore point before soshareit installation, but it spinned in "restoring files" state for about 40 hours with no result.
