  1. Whenever i try to download a file above 300 MB, The download speed remains normal upto a certain point of time, After that, it reduces drastically. Usually, the download speed is 300 Kbps(average) but after a certain period of time, it varies from 0.3 Kbps-4Kbps(maximum).
  2. When I try to torrent something it starts out at about 45 kb/s and increases up to about 200 kb/s and begins to drop until my download stops all together. My download speed is about 83 Mb/s yet Bittorent wont download any 0.2 kb/s. There's no limit on my download speed in the settings. Any help is appreciated thanks
  3. Hello, I have recently switched ISP from Talk Talk to Plusnet and I've had an issue since. As soon as I start the program the download speed goes up to 1.8MB/s then drops after 30 seconds to ~200-300kb/s. The only way for the speeds to return to normal is if I manually change ports within the program the speed shoots back up then drops again after about 30 seconds. I've forwarded the ports in my router and allowed the program and ports to my firewall so I'm at a loss as to why I'm having to manually change ports every 30 seconds when the speed is obviously there, I've spoken to my ISP and they told me they do not throttle anymore so that is not the issue. Hopefully you guys have some helpful tips and answers I could try, thanks in advance.

  6. I have maximum internet speed of 65 Mbps and download speed of 1.53 Mbps, but my torrent download speed is just between 1-10 Kbps. All the trackers are working. Can you please troubleshoot this problem? Here are my bittorent printscreen and speedtest results :
  7. Okay, so I recently changed my ISP and I got a new internet connect. The speed is 75 Mbps. My previous ISP the speed was 11Mbps. I was able to utilize that speed to the fullest, always got no less than 800 Kbps download sped. Now with this ISP. I'm yet to see my speed go past 300Kbps. But if I go to say ubuntu and download their 700MB file, it takes like 4 minutes. But all my torrents are horridly slow. I was just wondering why that was. Hoping someone out there can help me.
  8. I have spend countless hours this week trying to figure out how to get decent download speeds but I just cant figure it out, it seems as though I cannot open the ports. I am not an expert with computers, but I have decent common sense. Can anyone help me figure it out? This is what I did: Went into Windows Firewall and added rules to allow BitTorrent Followed a couple Youtube vids about how to set optimal settings for BitTorrent (including seting port to 45682 and going into preferences/advanced to tweak some settings) ***this along with step 1. improved my download speed from 1-5kb/s to 40kb/sSet my IPv4 IP to Static which I found after running cmd ipconfig/allWent into my router and forwarded the following ports that were recommended (45682, 11136, 11092,12821) ***on a side note, this week I successfully forwarded ports to play Call of Duty Ghosts which changed my NAT type from Strict to Open.In my router under security I checked Disabled for Block Anonymous Internet Requests Notes After doing step 4 (port forward) my download speeds went back down to 1-7kb/s.My internet speed is 5mb/sDownloaded PFportchecker by and it says that port 45682 for my IP address is CLOSED.When using bit torrent I sometimes momentarily see a green check-mark indicating that it is configured properly, however after a couple of seconds it automatically changes to the orange triangle with exclamation (!). Im dont think this has anything to do with it but when I set my IP to static (step 3) I set my DNS to and (google)What am I missing or doing wrong?
  9. Hello there, I have noticed my downloading speed has been lowered significantly over the past week. From 200-400 kB/s to 0.5-10 kB/s Here's my Speedtest results please help me
  10. I'm downloading a torrent file, it's 33.3 Gb, 99.9% of file is downloaded, I stopped it for some reasons, then I resumed and it's downloading in too much low speed! about 1Kb!!!! What should I do?!! please help
  11. Hi, some webpage told me that port forwarding would make my bittorrent download faster, so i port forwarded 6881 TCP and then switch my bittorrent to download from that in preferences. My download speed used to be around 400 kb/s (I was only downloading 1 file). But now is at around 50 and it looks like i have way less seeds now
  12. Hello, I am a fairly experienced Bittorrent user. Over the past 3 months I have downloaded a fair amount of files (around 1TB). Prior to now I have had here and there speed problems but nothing like this. My provider (ATT Uverse) plan that I have nets me 18MB/s download and is capped at about 1.5MB/s upload due to their outdated wiring. With this I can download between 1.7 and 2.0 Mbs/second per the bittorrent client. I have noted over the past 2 months or so that I cannot break through 1.2MB/s on bittorrent. I queued up the top 5 most seeded files, the single top file etc in all various ways to hit something near 1.8 to no avail. It is as if there is an invisible cap at 1.2 and I just cannot figure out how to break through. My returns my known 18 mb down and 1.5 mb up with a ping usually in the 30s. This is the norm. Nothing else I do is affected. I test with everything set to unlimited, then uTP limited, then upload limited to half, then to only 10 or 15Kbs/s and nothing changes. I notice if i upload at max my DL can't maintain its top so I tend to throttle that back. I currently have firewall exception and random port set. The only hick-up I ever see is when i do CNTR + G that my port is not forwarded (random forwarding remember). This is all I can find. Any help for me out there? Any and all suggestions are welcomed. I will say that I JUST uninstalled and reinstalled the client and my speed was up to 1.6MB/s for a bit which made me ecstatic. I had stepped away from my PC (and house) for an hour and came back to see it, then as I moved my mouse (did not web interaction mind you) it dropped down to 1.0 and then blipped up to 1.2 again..
