  1. Hi, I've just installed Windows 10 and went to install Client. I get the "this app won't run on your PC" message. There's no "unblock" option when right-clicking the installer. It happens as soon as I try to run it. I'm sure there's an easy fix, I tried searching your forums, but none had this specific issue (that I could find) Google had a bunch or random responses too, not all for Windows 10... Thanks!
  2. Hi, Trying to install latest version of BT, i've got the above message. I've uninstalled the earlier version, but got the same info. Clicking a .torrent file, I get the info: 'This app can't run on your PC.' Pls, help!
  3. Hi there - I have an iMac and I cannot get UTorrent or BitTorrent to fully install on the computer. It downloads fine and goes all the way through the installation process and then just sits at the very end. The progress bar shows all the way complete but it won't finish - it's like it's stuck. Anyone have any ideas of why this would be happening? I'm running OS X El Capitan v. 10.11.3. I've tried both accepting and declining the option for the added extras too. Thanks for any help. FF
  4. BitTorrent keeps crashing. Windows gives me this error message: "BitTorrent has crashed. A crash dump has been saved as" and gives me options to relaunch the app or not. This is the crash dump: http://www.mediafire.com/download/cmyeltc6cqyopm1/38914-bittorrent.8458.dmp Please help!
  5. Hey everyone, I'm in need of some help/advice. My bittorrent has been crashing a lot lately, and I've been trying to update, but with the last few versions my antivirus (which has always behaved well regarding all my torrent habits), won't even give me the option to ignore the threat and keep installing it; it just shuts it all down. The error threat reads: 4/24/15, 2:28:17am Scanner: Real-time file system protection Type of object: File Object: /Volumes/BitTorrent-39559/BitTorrent.app/Contents/Resources/InstallerPreferences.plist Threat: OSX/Adware.Spigot.D application Action: Not possible to clean root Information: Event occurred during an attempt to access the file by the application: /usr/libexec/syspolicyd. From browsing on other forums I was able to figure out that the threat is an adware. I don't know that much about what to do about that error, since there isn't really another kind of installation package that's not bundled. So, any advices about what to do? Thanks in advance
  6. Hi, I just purchased uTorrent Plus yesterday. Is uTorrent supposed to install in "%AppData%/Roaming" ? All my programs install in either Program Files or Program Files (x86). My OS is Windows 8.1 Pro with Update 1. I do not want the app version. I want the desktop version. Why does it install in "%AppData%/Roaming" ? Does uTorrent come in a 64-Bit version? NRL
  7. Ok, this has been bugging me for a week now. I had a bittorrent update, likely 7.8 build 29626 and it worked just as it always did at first. The next day I clicked on a link and instead of the usual client window opening up to run the torrent, there was an install window. Whatever, just an update. Finished it and back to business as usual. Whenever bittorrent was completely closed, magnet links or torrents always open an install window for 7.8 build 29626. My bittorent client is currently 7.9.1 build 30889 32-bit and the install window still pops up each time for 7.8. Work around requires that I open bittorrent before using links, but for some reason I check preferences and it always has the "start bittorrent on startup" box checked. I do not know why it keeps doing that, I uncheck and apply that preference every time. Running Win 7, 64bit
  8. Every single time I update BitTorrent, it installs "Conduit Search Protect" (called "Search Protect" when uninstalling). I don't want to have to uninstall it with every update. How do I stop BT from installing it? Thanks.
  9. Hi there, Bitorrent installer goes through the process, has me agree to terms then seemingly downloads until a little box pops up and tells me 'couldn't install bittorrent application.' But a larger box says the installation was successful, even though it was not Then chrome shuts down and restarts and my default browser search engine setting becomes yahoo. What gives? -Corey
  10. So like most red-blooded Americans, I was agreeing to the new update of BitTorrent onto my computer, and just kind of hit yes, go, whatever... But the last step seems like I was agreeing to some kind of "offer." Can anyone tell me what it was??? LUL on me I know. Thanks.
