  1. So when I try to delete, lets say 5 torrents at the same time. Bittorrent will one by one, open the delete progress bar window and delete a file, then close the window and open a new one, delete a file. Deleting large torrents with many files/folders takes several minutes. It never used to do this that I remember, but its been doing it for at least a few months. It's pretty annoying.
  2. hello i just downloaded bit torrent pro to my surprise trying to open it takes like 2 mins then just sits unresponsive i've set to high priority also changed the compatibly of the program to windows xp also to windows 7 im currently running 10 using just stander windows 10 defender
  3. I'm using a 4G broadband with dongle and my download speed on every torrent is less than 5 kb/s although the download speed itself can go up to 5mb/s or more. Also i remember that i somehow fixed it by using the vpn TPB was promoting on their site a long time ago. Does this mean either the trackers are cockblocking me or is my ISP being a douche? Some enlightment please
  4. Hello, Recently I got a new 1 Mbps internet connection and almost on all torrents I was getting speeds upto 4 Mbps. However, just three days back, I dont know what happened but for nearly all my torrents, my speed seemed to have been locked at 130kbps except for today when I tried to download a game where it went upto 2.5 Mbps for half an hour but then again came back to the same speed. I have tried torrents with 1500+ seeds and also torrents with seed/peer ratio is around 7-15. Can someone please help me out? Thanks in advance.
  5. My torrents have worked for about 2 weeks and have downloaded fine, but a few days ago, whenever i try to download a torrent, it always stays stuck at connecting to peers. Sometimes it goes to Downloading... 0.0%, but then it goes back immediately to connecting to peers. I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security.
  6. Ive been using Bittorrent for awhile without issue but this previous week my DL speed has shot down to nearly nonexistent. my normal DL speed is around 5 MB/S. i currently am trying to download a few torrents each with over 100 seeders and less than 20 seeders total but my speeds are sitting steady at 20 KB/S. my speedtest.net link http://www.speedtest.net/result/4762838969.png Please help as i have no idea what changed to make my DL speeds plummet
  7. Hi all, For the last month or so my download rate has been super slow rarely reaching above 60kB/s the speeds I used to receive 800-1200kB/s. I have done a speed test http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3452077806 and I have checked my that my ISP (Telstra) is not shaping torrents at http://broadband.mpi-sws.org/transparency/bttest.php and the results say “There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your uploads.” And There is no indication that your ISP rate limits your downloads.” I have also checked that there is an exception set on my fire wall. I am hoping that someone is able to advise me if there is anything else to look at… is there any settings I might be able to adjust Cheers, BRENDOW
  8. When I try to torrent something it starts out at about 45 kb/s and increases up to about 200 kb/s and begins to drop until my download stops all together. My download speed is about 83 Mb/s yet Bittorent wont download any 0.2 kb/s. There's no limit on my download speed in the settings. Any help is appreciated thanks
  9. After running a speed test this is what i got: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4499980801 However, when I download something on BitTorrent, I'm usually pulling at less than 100kb/s. I'm downloading a fresh torrent right now which I'm pulling at 5 kb/s. It has 130+ seeders and 7 leechers, so I don't understand why I' pulling it so damn slowly. I have my download speed set to 0 (default), which should be uncapped, right? Someone help me out? I have Verizon FiOS and I'm able to do almost anything else with no problem (stream 4k videos while playing games online, etc), so I'm pretty certain its BitTorrent that's the problem here.
  10. Here's the image(for the speedtest result): http://www.speedtest.net/result/4053707591.png I'm downloading two software, both of them having the highest seeders, yet, I still manage to get very slow download speed
  11. Hi guys, i recently noticed my bittorrent cannot go above 100kb/s or SO, yes the download rate in set to unlimited and my maximum internet download speed is 1.2 Mb/s, im downloading through steam client games and its stable at 1.2 or 1.1 mb/s, my global maximum number of connections is set to 200, and the router is ZTE108H which was provided by the company, i know the router is cheap but i used to reach the maximum download rate with it, please any suggestions ?
  12. So i just installed bittorrent, (I have used it before on this computer and this connection) and was going to download a tv show. it starts downloading, and it won't raise above 10 kB/s. my internet connection is Very good, so that shouldn't be a problem, I'm not running a proxy, the firewall isn't blocking it, my ip isn't blocking the connection, (checked with glasnost) and bittorrent says the connection is working as it should. I have tried multiple different torrents, all with over 3000 seeds, and the same thing happens for all of them. What can i do to fix it? Speedtest link: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3575461338
  13. Okay, so I recently changed my ISP and I got a new internet connect. The speed is 75 Mbps. My previous ISP the speed was 11Mbps. I was able to utilize that speed to the fullest, always got no less than 800 Kbps download sped. Now with this ISP. I'm yet to see my speed go past 300Kbps. But if I go to say ubuntu and download their 700MB file, it takes like 4 minutes. But all my torrents are horridly slow. I was just wondering why that was. Hoping someone out there can help me.
  14. My download speed is not increasing... Here are the images... Speed Test: File: Info: Can you tell me what's the problem? Please help me...
  15. My internet speed is 9.7mbps but bittorrent does not provide such speed. It is giving less than 150/kbsec to 180kb/sec. My friends always tell me that they have a 4mbps connection and their client always give them more than 400kb/sec. Sometimes my internet does not works properly and becomes very slow so the bittorrent gives just 0.1kb, 0.2kb or just 1kb/sec. But, when my internet works fast and works perfectly, then even bittorrent is just on 170kb/sec. What is this problem? You might be thinking that I have been downloading huge size like 10GB or 15GB something but I don't download anything more than 700MB. Still the speed is 170kb/sec even when my internet speed is fast. Remember my internet speed is 9.6mbps. Thankyou and please look forward to my query and solve my issue. Please!
  16. First off, here's my speed test results http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3118536088 I started downloading Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag first the torrent was rising until 50-55 kb/s, my regular speed is 100 kb/s, then the speed started decreasing til it reached 0.2 kb/s, 0.1 kb/s, then it disappeared, after a few minutes it started rising til about 12 kb/s then kept going up and down between 34 kb/s & 19 kb/s, I was downloading CoD Black Ops II and it was running at full speed until it was finished, so it's really starting to piss me off and this is 23 GB so I really need the speed, if someone can please help me out here, I'd be very grateful.
  17. Hello, I am a fairly experienced Bittorrent user. Over the past 3 months I have downloaded a fair amount of files (around 1TB). Prior to now I have had here and there speed problems but nothing like this. My provider (ATT Uverse) plan that I have nets me 18MB/s download and is capped at about 1.5MB/s upload due to their outdated wiring. With this I can download between 1.7 and 2.0 Mbs/second per the bittorrent client. I have noted over the past 2 months or so that I cannot break through 1.2MB/s on bittorrent. I queued up the top 5 most seeded files, the single top file etc in all various ways to hit something near 1.8 to no avail. It is as if there is an invisible cap at 1.2 and I just cannot figure out how to break through. My speedtest.net returns my known 18 mb down and 1.5 mb up with a ping usually in the 30s. This is the norm. Nothing else I do is affected. I test with everything set to unlimited, then uTP limited, then upload limited to half, then to only 10 or 15Kbs/s and nothing changes. I notice if i upload at max my DL can't maintain its top so I tend to throttle that back. I currently have firewall exception and random port set. The only hick-up I ever see is when i do CNTR + G that my port is not forwarded (random forwarding remember). This is all I can find. Any help for me out there? Any and all suggestions are welcomed. I will say that I JUST uninstalled and reinstalled the client and my speed was up to 1.6MB/s for a bit which made me ecstatic. I had stepped away from my PC (and house) for an hour and came back to see it, then as I moved my mouse (did not web interaction mind you) it dropped down to 1.0 and then blipped up to 1.2 again..
  18. Hi All, I'm getting ridiculously low download speeds, under 10 kB/s and mostly under 1 kB/s! For some reason when I first start the torrent it is downloading really fast, then within 10 minutes or less it drops to this minuscule speed. I went through all the steps of setting up a static IP address, and creating specific port exceptions in Windows Firewall (which is the only firewall I use) as well as creating an open port setting on my router. I've also deleted the settings.dat & settings.dat.old files several times and restarted the torrent. Again, every time I do restart it it starts out downloading really fast (600 kB/s to 1.2 Mb/s) and then shortly slows down to >1 kB/s, according to the speed indicator within the program. It shows connected to between 50-100 of (450+) peers each time, and 0 of (58) seeds, which may be the problem, but if so, why would it start out downloading really fast and then drop to almost nothing? Sometimes it shows port open when I do the reset (deleting the settings files) and sometimes it shows port is closed, even though I created those port exceptions. I really don't know what else to do. Help? Thanks, Nadine
  19. I am seeding 3 orginal torrents and they are barely uploading. Here are the 3 file sizes and what I have upload so far. It has taken me over 2 weeks to upload this much. file size / uploaded 125 MB / 1.18 GB 103 MB / 552 MB 114 MB / 936 MB I have a 2 MB upload speed. Speed test said so as so does Bitorrent when I run the test to configure speed. Every torrent has a bunch of peers just sitting there. So there are a bunch of people that want the file, but my bittorrent software will sit there all day and won't upload anything sometimes. 1 of those files always has over 20 or 30 leechers but none of them have 100% of the file. So file availability is always at 1.985 because all anyone has is 98.5% So why do I have all of these peers wanting my file and my bit torrent barely uploads. While watching the peer tab, every once in a while one person might show up that I upload at like 1kb/s for 1 sec. The que says 5bytes and then it will sit idle for hours. Any help please. -crow
  20. My download are normally at 300kB/s but it recently went so low. I don't know why, can someone help? This is my result on speedtest : http://www.speedtest.../2616680313.png
  21. I can't seem to get a fast upload speed with Bittorrent and I have a connection of dl 100Mbit/ ul 100Mbit. From speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2614550949.png I took a screen of a current torrent with 45 connected peers and I still upload with 10kb/s... http://i.imgur.com/h4QqBxc.jpg This is a very common issue for me and it is very frustrating since I want to get more up with my high speed connection. Should my upload not go high up as per availability?
