  1. How do I make bitTorrent Web default torrent magnet downloader.
  2. i use bittorrent client, as i just removed an external hard drive windows relabelled a drive letter of another hard drive i had stuff downloading to ( bastards !! ) so i deleted the .torrent file from bittorent ( of a large tvshow torrent) to go get it again ( once id restarted pc with hard drive in another usb socket and hoping drive letter would change ) so i could carry on downloading a large filebut.. after restart bittorrent is saying the torrent your trying to add is already in the list of torrents do you want to add trackers, even if i click yes the file (tvshow series) doesnt show up in bittorrent client , i ran ccleaner incase of registry error etc , ive tried closing bittorent then restarting it but although bittorent seems to think the torrent file is still in the client it doesnt show up so no downloading can continue how do i fix this ?
  3. Greetings, all BitTorrent fanatics and gurus. I'm having trouble downloading a torrent, and I don't understand why. The torrent appears to have multiple seeds, yet the availability, and hence the download, is stuck at 0.971. The torrent in question is "Safe.House.S01.1080p.BluRay.x264-KEEPERS[rartv]" (the one shown on top in the screenshot). As can be seen in this torrent's Trackers tab, its Peer Exchange row lists 5 seeds and 117 peers, and its Distributed Hash Table (DHT) row lists 4 seeds and 58 peers. Thus, I'm surprised and baffled that the torrent's availability remains (and has always been) only 0.971. How can this be? The BitTorrent User Manual's glossary defines a seed as "A peer with 100% of the data in the torrent contents." 100%—Doesn't this mean that even a single seed would provide a torrent access to everything it needs to reach full (1.000) availability? Perhaps I'm missing something? Please, BitTorrenters who know more than I, help me understand, or even better, let me know if there's something I can do to get the final bit (pun intended!) of this torrent downloaded. Thank you!
  4. I need some help, for some reason yesterday Bittorrent has randomly stopped adding/downloading torrents that I try to download both from magnet links or standard. I'll click the torrent link, Bittorrent maximizes from the desktop tray but nothing happens, no new torrent is added into bittorrent, no error, nothing. any1 have any idea why this has started happening? and how I can fix it?
  5. I try to create a torrent which is no problem normally. This one is. Maybe it's because there are a lot of sub-directories. Anyway, normally Bittorrent uses like 110MB while creating this torrent the memory use seems to grow exponentinal and the latest number before crashing is 1.3GB of memory use. It says it wants to reserve another 33GB and I've only got 24GB I attached the dump file and if it went well there should be some error reports send by bittorrent as well. If there is a beta I can try using the same files let me know and I'll test it. Or if there is something else I can try I'm happy to hear. For me this seems like a big memory leak (bug) and don't think settings will change anything for now. I'm running Windows 10 build 15063.296 and like I said, have 24GB of memory. Keep up the good work! 43581-bittorrent.64a7.dmp edit: I found out there were Russian symbols as folder name (Новая папка) and an extended dash symbol. I removed these but still same problem
  6. Hi all, coming from utorrent 2.2.1 and trying now BitTorrent 6.4 to eventually switch. In utorrent, when clicking on a torrent (not magnet) link, a window would display and show internal files (as chosen in preferences settings). I set up the same preferences in BitTorrent but the files won't show and will toggle straight to the main downloading window. From what I understand here and here, one needs to display the toolbar (which I do) and to click the 'toggle view' button. The latter doesn't show on my end. Has it disappeared since a prior version or am I just blind? If not blind, how can I get this display-inner-files option work its way? Any help welcome and appreciated.
  7. I have a torrent website for downloading books and i'm using only hash link without any trackers like this one "magnet:?xt=urn:btih:f31ca8ec55e6e9b20a173608559c2d6611dae252&dn=History+Revealed+-+April+2017" I tried to download and it worked fine, so do i really need to add trackers for my torrents because i see all torrent sites use trackers ?
  8. I'm sure this question/feature-request may have been asked before. I'm fascinated with the bit torrent and it's potential but most of the ideas I have for utilizing bit-torrent require the ability to allow torrents that can be updated and, those updates being able to propagate to all seeders. I understand now that it is not possible - you would have to create a new torrent. This is inefficient because the new torrent effectively invalidates the former yet there is no way to link them and, you'd need to proliferate a new torrent, potentially with many duplicate files for only a small change. It would be *wonderful* if torrents could somehow allow change, versioning and propagation. Is that on the roadmap or otherwise specifically discouraged?
