  1. No link to upload custom photo. Please advise.
  2. Why are my upload speeds often not even exceeding the 10 KB/s? I want to share torrent files I've downloaded, but it's so slow. Any solutions?
  3. So, I have a file where I'm the only available seeder and occasionaly there are someone that downloads it. ATM there are 3 waiting and 1 of those are downloading from me. THEN! I download 3 files with 153/199/434 seeders and 137/228/332 peers. If I try to say to the client that "Screw those, there's enough seeders already, I have one that's more important!" and then set max upload rate to 25kB/s (why can't I block upload per file totaly?) I get next to no download speed. Can someone please explain to me why it's more important to upload files with hundreds of seeders than to the lone bastard? When I started with torrents many years ago there was a system where you could stop downloading to those who didn't upload, but it was manual, this seems to be automatic and generated by the client, and it doesn't look at your total upload (percentage of line capacity and I have 700kbps (80ish KB/s), only the specific file.
  4. Hello, I am using NetLimiter to show me which are the programs to use the network. I have noticed that whenever BitTorrent is uploading data, it listed with an upload traffic of say 400kb/s and also 'host process for windows services' for say 200kb/s. If BitTorrent is paused, the traffic of 'host process for windows services' is equally reduced down to zero. If BitTorrent is only downloading, 'host process for windows services' has no in/outbound traffic Can anyone shade some light ob this phenomenon? Thanks in advance, Guy
  5. Hello, I am trying to figure out a way to acquire the upload\download speed data of my torrents. I know when using BitTorrent, on the bottom of the torrents section we are able to click on speeds and a graph will be displayed with all the information about upload\download. However I wanted to know how to acquire this information into excel or a CSV file? Please any help would be appreciated.
  6. Howdy great peeps, Was trying to upload a torrent multiple times now yesterday & it gets stuck at around 60% (tried uTorrent too) Left the computer on for about 8 hours & nothing.. Is there an issue I don't know of? Would gladly accept help! Much greetings, Mike
  7. I'm new to this, so I'd appreciate the help and patience since even the simplest things are completely unknown to me. I'm using uTorrent 1.8.4 on Mac, and I have some questions about it. 1. How do I set it to stop seeding/uploading automatically after the download is complete? 2. While downloading the file, it is also uploading. Can that be stopped? If so, how? And will it affect the download in anyway whatsoever? 3. After the download is complete, the torrent file vanishes. Does this mean that the .torrent file is deleted? If not, how do I set it to stop the file from downloading or uploading, but keep it there so I can right-click it and hit the delete .torrent file? Thanks...
  8. There is a option in Bit-torrent to add a torrent from end user directory, but it wont work and can't be seen or downloaded if it isn't uploaded to a specific storage web space on internet I was wondering is it possible to add a Add torrent function without the need to upload the torrent file to internet, so it can be accessed directly for other users from Bittorent. Example:1 Maybe once I add my torrent from my directory, somehow the Bittorent can index it on the fly or something and save it to temporary location until is downloaded from other users and after that can be flagged as active torrent and from that point somehow it will automatically gets uploaded to internet, to a random or specific location.
  9. Whenever I set a maximum upload rate on either the preferences or torrent bandwidth allocation (regardless of value set), the upload rate will got to 1kB/s or stop completely.
  10. I am seeding 3 orginal torrents and they are barely uploading. Here are the 3 file sizes and what I have upload so far. It has taken me over 2 weeks to upload this much. file size / uploaded 125 MB / 1.18 GB 103 MB / 552 MB 114 MB / 936 MB I have a 2 MB upload speed. Speed test said so as so does Bitorrent when I run the test to configure speed. Every torrent has a bunch of peers just sitting there. So there are a bunch of people that want the file, but my bittorrent software will sit there all day and won't upload anything sometimes. 1 of those files always has over 20 or 30 leechers but none of them have 100% of the file. So file availability is always at 1.985 because all anyone has is 98.5% So why do I have all of these peers wanting my file and my bit torrent barely uploads. While watching the peer tab, every once in a while one person might show up that I upload at like 1kb/s for 1 sec. The que says 5bytes and then it will sit idle for hours. Any help please. -crow
  11. Hi, In need of help, have been using bittorrent for several years with no problems whatsoever, But all of a sudden i start a download and im getting download speeds of 8 to less than 1kbps. My internet connection is around 2mbps and bittorrent is configured properly. I have run test (ctrl-G) and it comes out positive, with 2mbps+ dl speed. There also seems to be random spikes where the dl speed goes upto around 80kbps for a few mins then drops back to 8-1kbps (my upload speed is similarly affected by these random speed spikes, but NOT at the same time as dl speed) Here is my speedtest.net result: Yet my client looks like this: Thanks, and hopefully i can find the way to fix this.
  12. I can't seem to get a fast upload speed with Bittorrent and I have a connection of dl 100Mbit/ ul 100Mbit. From speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/result/2614550949.png I took a screen of a current torrent with 45 connected peers and I still upload with 10kb/s... http://i.imgur.com/h4QqBxc.jpg This is a very common issue for me and it is very frustrating since I want to get more up with my high speed connection. Should my upload not go high up as per availability?
