Guest Aleksey Ruzov
When I start downloading something quite fat (lots of peers, the download speed of about 1mbit/sek), then a few minutes later, as a rule, lost connection. Internet stops working. The situation is solved by rebooting the router only (Linksys WRT54GC ver. 2.0). If I'm downloading directly to the cable, then fine, no breaks.I've already tried to limit the global number of connections in BitTorrent, but it did not help. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I do not know. Can you please tell what kind of settings can solve this problem?
Harold Feit
How far down did you limit the number of connections?Do you have the SPI firewall turned on in your router?
Guest Aleksey Ruzov
Now I set up follow: Global limit 10, Per torrent limit 10SPI Firewall is enabledAnd by the way, my system is OSX Lion 10.7.2 (if it important).
Harold Feit
It's not important, what is important is that the SPI firewall is likely the cause of your issue and needs to be turned off. What is happening is that it's overloading your router and causing it to crash.
