On behalf of everyone at BitTorrent, we want to thank you for being a member of the BitTorrent Apps Developer Program. With your help, we learned quite a bit through this experience; but it’s time to move on. We will be discontinuing the BitTorrent App Studio and the BitTorrent Apps Developer Program.
Within the next 30 days, the BitTorrent App Studio will be removed from both the BitTorrent and µTorrent clients, as well as both web sites. We will keep the BitTorrent Apps forum online for an additional 30-60 days in case there are questions we can help with in the meantime.
But our need for good, creative developers is far from over. We’ve taken what we learned from BitTorrent apps and applied it to a new technology announced previously, BitTorrent Torque--a small, headless torrent client with a powerful Javascript library that enables you to build killer peer-to-peer web applications. Will you sign on?
