I see. So once it was seeded it just sort of stays out there in "cyberparts unknown" then?

Greetings all!

First post here so I hope I am in the right place. 

I occasionally have cause to use torrent downloads and I've noticed that I am sometimes able to download a torrent even when--according to the client I am using--no one is seeding. Since there is no one seeding and torrents are a peer to peer exchange protocol, where is that file coming from?
