eric.kolotyluk Posted April 25, 2013 Report Posted April 25, 2013 I have been hearing more and more about internet cache protocols lately and was wondering if BitTorrent had plans to enter this field.Given that people so often download the same content over and over again, it seems to make sense that internet carriers should do content caching so the same content is not downloaded over and over again via backbone networks. I mean, many ISPs already cache newsnet stuff.I have often thought that BitTorrent would be the perfect technology for caching this way, kind of like BitTorrent Sync at router/gateway level. This would be especially valuble for Metropolitan Area Networks.Anyway, I was just curious if anyone else has been thinking about this?Cheers, Eric
