Errors during setup

While running setup I get the following two error messages:

For Bandwidth I get the following: Speed test failed. Connection failed error a request to send or recieve data was disallowed because the socket is... and the message ends here.

For the network I get: Port not opened. (You are still able to download).

I am using a satellite connection. I did do another speed test and got 161 kbps download and 15 upload.

As stated previously my download speed has dramatically slowed lately and I am still seeking some suggestions as to how to improve this.
