pchrishatfield Posted August 10, 2013 Report Share Posted August 10, 2013 I am having trouble downloading torrents in the dorm where I live. Anytime I go to the local coffee shop or a similar location my torrents download wonderfully, but at home I have trouble finding any peers, my network icon changes from a green check to the yellow triangle, and I keep losing connection.When browsing the internet I can get around all of the blocks if I use a proxy on any port other than 80. I believe the problem stems from the network not allowing incoming connections, as I've tried using a proxy inside bittorrent and that seems to not work.Are there any suggestions to narrow down where the problem lies/work around to this issue.
