bleep_user2 Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 I tried bleep. It's bloated (36MB are you serious?) Where is the native desktop UI? The default one looks like the chat app on my smart phone. It was extremely slow. I tried adding someone but they never went online. Where is the video chat? Sorry but I will be sticking to Tox.im
GreatMarko Posted August 23, 2014 Report Posted August 23, 2014 I don't think you've quite understood the concept of "pre-alpha" software - which is exactly what Bleep is right now!! It's bloated (36MB are you serious?)The installer (setup.exe) is only 646KB in size. However, during install, if you don't have the Visual C++ 2013 Runtime Libraries installed, they will be downloaded as they are required by Bleep Where is the native desktop UI? The default one looks like the chat app on my smart phone. It's pre-alpha! Expect the UI to change/evolve during the course of development It was extremely slow. It's pre-alpha! Expect performance to be improved during the course of development Where is the video chat? It's pre-alpha! Not every feature you may wish is going to be present in pre-alpha software. New features/functionality will be added/improved during the course of development Sorry but I will be sticking to Tox.imProbably best, if you don't appreciate the current "pre-alpha" nature of Bleep!
