The same problem comes up in case you already registred on another device, like an android phone, and you later install the windows client. Currently it seem to be impossible to copy the private key from Android to Windows, since windows does not allow entering an existing key, you can only create a new account. Ideally, and this would also be an improvement for btsync, the desktop/windows client would also allow scanning QR-Codes with a webcam in order to import both, private an public keys.
