slow download and only 3 simultaneous downloads

I've been forced over to BitTorrent Web on my iMAC due to BitTorrent not supporting the new IOS software.  My downloads are now very slow and I can only download 3 torrents at a time which makes things even slower.  I can't see anything in the setting to alter or improve any of this.
