Bittorrent for Chromebook crashes every time I try to open/resume a torrent

The app just started crashing on Feb. 15th. I tried restarting the Chromebookbut the issue persists. After the crash, I get the following notification from Bittorrent:

"Application stopped: service failed to start API."

Can ANYONE please help me with this? I just recently bought the BittorrentPro and I REALLY do not want to have to uninstall and reinstall as I have a decent amount of halfway finished torrents...
