Bittorent not opening to download

I need help with an issue. My issue is that when i go to piratebay and want to download something,i click get this torrent and it takes me to my desktop folder and shows me all the subfolders inside and it doesnt go to bittorent like it used to. I checked the settings,uninstall and reinstall and nothing is working. It was working fine until the install for the update yesterday...Any help please!!
