WineberryOverGold Posted November 19, 2012 Report Share Posted November 19, 2012 My original torrent client was an outdated version of Utorrent but since reinstalling Windows, I've tried both new versions of UT and BT while trying to open magnet links and I recieve this message from Firefox(16.0.2):"The address wasn't understoodFirefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (magnet) isn't associated with any program.You might need to install other software to open this address."A magnet link will work if typed in manually but I miss the convenience of loading it from my browser, any help is appreciated.. WineberryOverGold Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Share Posted November 19, 2012 Well nvm, I found my answer on a different website and I'll post it below for anyone else who experiences this same issue, although I'm still wondering why it isn't standard for magnet links to work on firefox.Type "about:config" without quotes in your url bar.
