Close BT (icon RMB exit)7. goto piratebay8. find a file to download9. select the magnet10. BT 7.7 opens and the torrent is enqued11. wait for the torrent to begin downloading12. right mouse on the torrent13. select "open folder containing"Expected Result:explorer is open and the download is shown in the c:\Downloads directoryCurrent Result:exporer is open and the download is shown in the C:\ directoryRepeated scenario using C:\Downloads\TorrentsCurrent Result:explorer is open and the download is shown in the c:\Downloads directory Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Woody69 Posted September 18, 2012 Report Share Posted September 18, 2012 I am having the same problem -- but its only with magnet links from Pirates Bay. The are downloaded to my C:\Users folder. rawedm Posted October 15, 2012 Report Share Posted October 15, 2012 I was having similar problem with downloads going to my root directory of whatever drive I selected. One way I have found to fix the problem is under UI Settings - under When Adding Torrents - select Show a window that displays the files ..... When you do this, the program will display the download directory for you to OK before starting the download. I especially tried it with Piratebay and it worked fine. It is a pain though adding the additional step in the process, but at least you have control where the downloads go. Hopefully they will fix this bug on next update. Snabelfantasten Posted October 16, 2012 Report Share Posted October 16, 2012 The simple solution is to create the folder you want to use for example c:\bittorrent\incoming, and inside the folder you place another folder which could be named for instance !notused, and you point the program to the folder c:\bittorrent\incoming\!notused.
