scout
My download speed sometimes drops to zero. I'll have to reboot my router. I've got Win10, Trend Micro Internet Security, and a Belkin AC 600 router. It happens from time to time, not always. I'll reboot the router and flush/release/renew the dns and it works well again.... What's causing this?
Harold Feit
Sounds like something in the router is overloading. Is the SPI firewall enabled in the router?
scout
Yes, the firewall is enabled. I don't know what SPI means, but it came with a firewall and it's on.
Harold Feit
Turn it off. There's only a small handful of brands and models of router that implement SPI properly and belkin isn't one of them.
