Guest Esoteric Knowledge
If I have a virtual private network, let's say using OpenVPN security, will that show my snoopy ISP how many connections I have.My ISP is complaining that I have too many connections to IPs (is that right?) and it slows down the other users (is that right?).If I have a VPN will my many connections still cause a problem and be seen?I don't want to be snooped, and I don't want to slow down the network, because I'm nice. Any advice or info. I'm going to pay for the VPN as well. Not sure if I want Ipredator or VPN4ALL service. Any advice on that?
Harold Feit
My ISP is complaining that I have too many connections to IPs (is that right?)Correct terminology.and it slows down the other users (is that right?).Correct terminology, flawed argument. If it's actually slowing down other users, it means that your internet provider's equipment is most likely sub-standard for their userbase.A VPN will compress the number of connections down to one connection between your computer and the computer you're connecting to.Advice for specific VPN services is outside of the scope of these forums.
