Bryce58
My automatic RSS has been working well but recently, after adding a new RSS feed, it has started misbehaving. The RSS list has gone. Any suggestions?
Harold Feit
What is the size of your rss.dat file in %appdata%\bittorrent?
Bryce58
How do I navigate to this?
Bryce58
All I can see is rss.dat.old file which is 15k
Harold Feit
there's no rss.dat? If not, it likely got corrupted. You may need to make sure you get a copy of that rss.dat.old file into rss.dat (with bittorrent CLOSED)
Bryce58
How do I do this?
Bryce58
I tried closing BT, then right clicked on rss.dat.old and restore previous version. Prompt lets me know there is no previous version. Any further suggestions?
Harold Feit
copy the rss.dat.old file somewhereClose down BitTorrentrename the rss.dat.old to rss.dat (right-click it)Restart bitTorrent
Bryce58
When I do this, the rss.dat becomes just rss ( the icon is not the spiral blue BT but rather is a Green icon - this opens to Clear.Fi). Does this sound right? BT rss feed list still not populated.
Harold Feit
It does sound right, although it also sounds like you had a non-graceful shutdown of BitTorrent that caused the files to corrupt. It looks like you may need to rebuild manually.
