May I share a single file that inside a shared folder?

I want a shared folder as a backup purpose, and share to other persons one or several files only, any simple way for this?

Yes it is to do with sync. And I have exactly the same requirement only I want to do it for a whole folder.

i.e. I sync my laptop with my main desktop. In this case I want a fairly general synchronisation of the folder and subdirectories.

However next I'm working with a colleague, but they just want one of my sub directories. How can I give them that? You system refused because the parent directory is already sync.
