can't find torrent

Hi,

My friend uploaded a video on his bittorrent. it connected to peers and there's a list of trackers on his tracker list.

now i want to download it. I can't find it on torrent search.

can you please help?

Get him to send the torrent to you.

he makes a copy of the .torrent file and sends it to you in whatever way he can

so the copy of the .torrent file is just a filename right?

The .torrent file is a set of information that defines what files to download with what names and what they have in them.

ok, sorry i don't know much about how it works. when he created the torrent, there was a second file that was much smaller that saved to the same folder that the video was in. he sent it to me via email, and i downloaded it and it added to my torrents list. then it said connecting to peers. and it stayed like that. it says seeds 0, peers 1.

I called him and he confirmed that on his screen, it says seeding. still nothing..... now what?

Did he private flag the torrent when he made it?

no, he doesn't know how to use it either, i've been talking him through it. So, if default means it's flagged as private, then it is. if not, then it's not

On the trackers tab, what do you have for the tracker status?
