widhie75 Posted June 13, 2013 Report Share Posted June 13, 2013 I use BitTorrent 7.8 build 29676 - 32bitWindows XP, Avast AntivirusI often found CRC Error in most downloaded file.... and It only found in .!BT files, not in any other files.so, I think it's a bug from BitTorrent which fail to preallocate files or write .!BT to disk.The solution is I copy all corrupt .!BT files (which causing CRC Error) using 'Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier' (RUC) and set 'faster data recovery'.1. Turn off BitTorrent.2. Run CHKDSK to scan hard disk --- it will mark some bytes as bad sector3. Copy corrupt '!BT' files to other folder/hard disk using RUC,4. and then recopy again into source folder using normal copy (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V).5. Activate BitTorrentThis process will repair all CRC error and BitTorrent will continue downloading,,,,,, but it also annoying because some .!BT files are big size.Maybe BitTorrent will do something about this error trouble.
