torrents not downloading after update 7.8.1

Bit torrent is not working after update! I have tried downloading two movies and nothing. It says downloading metadata whatever that means. But it wont download more than 1kbs. I even set download limit to unlimited. Please Help.

What internet security software do you have installed?

I don't know what going on but after an hour there is no progress downloading to movies but its seeding. It is for some reason seeding the two movies I am trying to download before they are even completely downloaded. Can anyone help?

I hiIOaaIII have windows seven on my pc. I only have the security software from Microsoft that comes with windows.

I had Norton security but it is not active. Need to renew subscription.

Then you need to re-create the rules for BitTorrent in it.

Consult the windows help file or microsoft knowledge base for steps.

Also, merely having norton installed, even when not running, can interfere.

Uninstall it.

With the last version I didn't do or change anything with the computer. Norton was not active with the last version either.

And the last version worked perfect. I could download 5 to 6 movies at a time.

I have uninstalled Norton and MacAfee even though neither was active and the 7.8 version worked with those programs. What do I do now?

Did you run the removal tools as well?

I solved the problem. I removed 30 movies that were seeding at 1kbs to movie file. Then uninstalled bit torrent and reinstalled. It works perfect now. Hope this helps someone.
