littlebadboy21
I recently accidentally uninstalled the BitTorrent client from my PC running Windows Vista. Upon re-download the BitTorrent.exe setup file, I find nothing happens when I double click to open it. I have restarted several times, checked the LocalData/Roaming folder (no BitTorrent folder exists in it anymore), run virus checks (none) made sure firewall is disabled, etc., nothing is working. Other .exe files will run to install other software, just not BitTorrent. Additionally I tried to download the setup for another client, uTorrent, with similar results. Double clicking on the setup file yields nothing, no process opens in Task manager. Any suggestions?
Harold Feit
Did you unblock the exe after downloading it?
littlebadboy21
I thought my security settings allowed for all .exe files to run unblocked but you are right, I checked and the exe was blocked, so a simple unblock did the trick. Never had to do that before with any file so not sure how my settings got changed, but thank you for pointing me in the right direction
