emilnyb
Hey, BitTorrent is taking up insane amounts of WriteToDisk speed, to the point it takes ages for all my other applications to run including games. I have a laptop bought this year with Windows 8, it can run Skyrim and Civilization 5 so it's quite capable. However, recently BitTorrent has taken to monopolize my WriteToDisk speed, and I don't know how to fix it. I've tried to reduce the priority of the application to least possible in the task manager, it doesn't seem to have any effect. BitTorrent itself runs smoothly and fast and I have no issues with its services, only with its resource consumption. Anyone who can help me change this? I'm not talking about download speed. I've had to just leave BitTorrent alone for now, I can't run it because then it takes ages for Civ 5 to load. Any other combination of applications runs fine and smooth, it's just BitTorrent that is being a trouble-maker.
