NXTDj Posted December 16, 2013 Author Report Posted December 16, 2013 What internet security software do you have installed?Do you have nVidia's Network Access Manager installed?I just uninstalled the security software (Norton), but I still crashes. I am unsure about the nVidia Network Access Manager, how do I go about figuring out if it is installed?
Harold Feit Posted December 16, 2013 Report Posted December 16, 2013 Normally it would be either installed as an entry in programs and features (formerly add/remove programs) or as a component of the nvidia motherboard chipset software.nVidia components are known to cause crashes. Additionally, if you uninstall norton, you need to run their removal utility to clean up traces left behind as well.

Harold Feit Posted December 16, 2013 Report Posted December 16, 2013 Have you tried purging your settings files from %appdata%\bittorrent (settings.dat and .dat.old, rss.dat and .dat.old and resume.dat and .dat.old, moving them to a new folder should do) and trying again?
NXTDj Posted December 16, 2013 Author Report Posted December 16, 2013 I just moved them to a new folder (still crashing), but also noticed that i only have the following in the folder: settings.dat and settings.dat.old. Could this be causing the issue?
Harold Feit Posted December 16, 2013 Report Posted December 16, 2013 Probably not, as BitTorrent is probably only getting to writing that file before it crashes. Could you post a hijackthis report? I think something installed is causing the issue.
NXTDj Posted December 16, 2013 Author Report Posted December 16, 2013 Here is the report: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c6paqmhdkf94mnp/hijackthis.log
Harold Feit Posted December 16, 2013 Report Posted December 16, 2013 Try uninstalling the "popularscreensavers" application. Be advised, people who have attempted have had to reformat their system because uninstalling renders their system unbootable. https://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/popularscreensavers.com
NXTDj Posted December 16, 2013 Author Report Posted December 16, 2013 It still continues to crash. I was working ok till this morning.
NXTDj Posted December 16, 2013 Author Report Posted December 16, 2013 Nothing that I am aware of; I just tried to run it and it just crashed. I haven't downloaded anything or gone to any sites, besides the ones I always go to.
