thetasig
I used to have BitTorrent installed, but removed it several years ago. Recently my firewall administrator told me that the firewall was receiving thousands of pings on port 6881 (BitTorrent). So the question is "what does it take to get rid of those pings?" I am guessing that maybe I have to ask my ISP to change my IP address since I'm not broadcasting any BitTorrent data any longer. Is that correct - to just change my ISP - IP address? Thanks for any help.
Harold Feit
If you haven't had bittorrent installed on your system for several years, the problem isn't your machine.
