abe_charles
I have downloaded Windows 8.1 setup ISOs. Windows 8.1 Enterprise 64 and 32 bit and Windows 8.1 pro 64 and 32 bit. I thought I had to install Win dows 8 first and then run the install the Windows 8.1 setup DVD that I burnt from the ISO in order to allow the process to work. So I did, but was it really necessary for Windows 8.1 to eventually run? I was using Windows 7 at the time. Can I just run the Windows 8.1 32 or 64 bit setup DVD directly onto a Windows XP, Windows Vista or Window 7 machine and it would just install like that or would I need to install Windows 8 then upgrade to Windows 8.1? Can the Windows 8.1 install DVD just run over any OS? After all I did get it from a torrent site,. I believe it was kickass.to or extratorrent. After all the Windows 8.1 ISOs are bootleg seeing as how you can just download and installĀ Windows 8.1 from Windows store free. But can I just use the bootleg Win 8.1 ISO over any XP or 7 Machine? Don't mean to be repetitive but can this be done?
