DastardlyJack Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I have a kind of strange issue I can't find an answer for anywhere else that I've looked. My problem is this, at seemingly random intervals without any prompting from me, I get random downloads that I didn't initiate popping up in bittorrent. Thankfully I can cancel them before they start downloading, but it is still a nuisance. They seem to mostly be games or other forms of pirated media. Is this the work of malware or a virus or something of the sort? I must confess that I am fairly ignorant in such matters, though I have done several full virus scans that turned up nothing of note. Here is an image of this occurrance, and as I said this popped up without any input on my part:
Harold Feit Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 So you either have RSS favorites defined or you have the webui enabled with no security. You masked important parts of your screenshot (the entire left sidebar)
DastardlyJack Posted March 28, 2014 Author Report Posted March 28, 2014 My apologies, I'm a bit paranoid. Anyways, I know for certain that I do not have RSS favorites defined but I'm not familiar with the webui. I'd appreciate it if you would walk me through this, I'm kind of computer illiterate despite the amount of time I spend on them.
DastardlyJack Posted March 30, 2014 Author Report Posted March 30, 2014 Apologies for the late reply. Anyways, It does not appear that web ui is active in any way that I can discern.
