Harold Feit
Are you getting all your torrents from one site?

Harold Feit
Do torrents from http://slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php give the same behavior?
Infinite Imitations
i haven't tried. i use kickassunblock.net, mainly for tv shows and movies!
Harold Feit
Chances are the site you're getting the torrents from isn't actually giving you real .torrent files or is otherwise mangling them. Nothing we can do if the site is broken.
omberman
I have exactly the same problem. Out of the blue, because I used BitTorrent without problems for years. Normally I just clicked the torrent on the website, a menu popped up asking whether i wanted to start the application and off it went. Now it does nothing. and when I try to add Torrent from URL I get same error message, which is absolute nonsense because I've tried to download files that I already downloaded with BitTorrent in the past and it is now unable to do so. Any bright ideas anyone?
wsigma
Easy, download your .torrent files from other browser.
