Moonmahn69
My Bandwidth keeps setting itself to Dallas,Texas from Mountain Veiw, Ca.? I live about 40 miles from Mountain Veiw....Nowwhere near Dallas!! I run the test in the setup guide.....it registers & Runs good. Then later I notice it is running slow, check the setup guide.....& it is set to Dallas, Texas or "Choose the closest test location". How Come? Why pick the closest to you if you have to pick it every time you use the program? Appreciation & Graditude For Your Replies in advance!
Harold Feit
It's a speed test that doesn't actually have relevance towards performance.
Moonmahn69
It's a speed test that doesn't actually have relevance towards performance.Thank You Harold for the prompt response. I am in "learning mode" while using BitTorrent....so let me ask you this. When I hold the curser over BitTorrent running in the task bar, Why does my "downloading Speed" appear to go anywhere from 20-60 kB/s for Dallas to... 300 kB/s- 1.10Mbit/s when set to Mountain View? This is my issue.....My downloading & uploading speed seems to be setting itself slower. Many Thanks Again!
Harold Feit
Probably because your settings are actually improper for your connection or the torrents you're trying to test are not actually good for testing. What numbers do you have for settings there?Additionally, outside of that speed guide screen, bittorrent only displays in *byte/sec.
