Orlandipo
So speedtest is showing 16mb/s for download and 29mb/s for upload. The setup guide for BitTorrent is showing results that are in the mb/s range but when I actually try to download a torrent, I get like <10kb/s even if there are a lot more seeders than leechers. Does anyone know what's up with that?
Harold Feit
Do torrents from http://www.slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php give the same sort of speed results?
spYro
torrents are no direct download. so the speed may vary from zero to your maximum. depends on the peers/seeders.
Orlandipo
Do torrents from http://www.slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php give the same sort of speed results?About <100kb/sEdit-After leaving the torrents on for a bit to download, the speed eventually went up to what I had originally expected to get. It seems that the problem was only evident yesterday
Harold Feit
Then you might have some bad settings, but it's ultimately down to the specific torrents you're downloading.
Orlandipo
Then you might have some bad settings, but it's ultimately down to the specific torrents you're downloading.Am I not supposed to use the settings done by the setup guide? Also i've found that my upload speed is very inconsistent, any ideas on whats causing this?
Harold Feit
The setup guide included has some mostly decent settings. It's probably down to just the torrents you're choosing, both for download and upload speed.
