BOWi
Everything is in the title. I switched from Transmission to Bittorrent and I appreciated Transmission's blocklists feature. I read that Bittorrent uses blocklists too, but how does it work?
Harold Feit
ipfilter.dat It uses an entry-per-line blacklist only mode that blocks individual IPs or ranges. Please note that most common blocklist providers give blocklists that don't actually protect you from anti-p2p groups.
BOWi
I didn't know about blocklists until yesterday. I use Bittorrent with Humble Bundle, so I guess I don't need blocklists. Right? (Thank you very much!)
BOWi
I switched back to the other client I was using before because I read a few errors in Bittorrent's log concerning UPnP or NAT-PMP. (I don't remember witch one...) I think Bittorrent couldn't forward any port... That is strange because I thought it was automatic. I'm using an Airport Extreme (5th gen) from Apple as the only router in the house.
