Harold Feit Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Do torrents from http://slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php work?
nikkitpt1 Posted January 26, 2015 Author Report Posted January 26, 2015 nope, the torrent only reads 2 peers but no upload or download speed
Harold Feit Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Then something in your setup is actively blocking torrenting.
nikkitpt1 Posted January 26, 2015 Author Report Posted January 26, 2015 you mean theres something wrong with my setup in yosemite? or the setup or the setup in bittorrent? if so how do i change that. also, in terms of the vpn, does it matter which state/country i use? thanks for the help
Harold Feit Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 It's probably the VPN itself that's blocking. I've heard reports of PIA not taking kindly to torrenting.
nikkitpt1 Posted January 27, 2015 Author Report Posted January 27, 2015 used it all last semester with no problems, just shut it off still not working

Some countries no longer allow torrential downloads. I forget which ones (you can Google it, though) but the US doesn't. This happened to me.
