Guest Isacc552
Hi,I'm obviously a guest here but I have been using torrent clients for a long time, and until recently have never had a problem. Now I have the BSOD problem. Here is what I have tried to fix the problem thus far;I have enabled DEP, to no effectI have switched torrent clients, to no effectI have checked the manufacturers website for my laptop for new Network card drivers, there are noneI have tried downgrading to a lower version of torrent client (utorrent), to no effectHere is some information about my system;I am running Windows 7 32 Professional I have Norton as my antivirusMy wireless card is Intel 4965AGNo Windows updates have occurred recentlyThe torrent client(s) can remain open without downloading anything and not kill my computer, it seems to only happen when actively downloading something.Assistance with this problem would be most appreciated, and though I have combed the forums of both clients, bittorrent and utorrent, I have not seen any useful success stories in regard to this problem. Here is to hoping that a permanent solution is found soon. Thanks for your time,

Guest Isacc552
Yes, I thought I found one but when I installed it the driver version number did not change and the problem persisted. As for the bluescreen, it gives me the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message along with technical info that I have yet to record.Would the technical info be helpful in solving this issue? Harold Feit
Would the technical info be helpful in solving this issue? It would, and the application bluescreenview will help in getting it.

Harold Feit
Just the plaintext version of the bluescreen, and paste it directly into your post.

Harold Feit
Yeah, it's all pointing at either your network adapter (wireless adapter if you're connecting wireless or wired adapter if you're connecting wired) or your internet security software, especially if the problem persists across multiple clients. Guest Isacc552
OK,So what can I do to solve the problem? If I can solve it at all right now.
Harold Feit
Your internet security software would likely need to be uninstalled and replaced with something else to make sure it's not interfering. After that, it's pretty much just a run through available drivers for the network adapters from their respective manufacturers. Guest Isacc552
So I can't just disable a setting in the software or the software it's self but I would need to replace it with something else.I forgot to mention this earlier, but a lot of the other posts mention having McAfee as their anti-virus software and they have the same problem that I do.In addition Intel offers 9 different driver packages for the card that I have, so if I get the wrong one I don't want to brick my card.Basically, I'm in a tricky spot, but I'll try what you suggest with the exception of removing the Antivirus program. Also why did this problem suddenly crop up among the torrent client users? Thanks again for your help.
