dclair
I've been having a problem with my system crashing when I am in the middle of a download and I leave my computer for awhile. (I am using Windows 7 Home.) Last time it happened I briefly saw a blue screen pop up right before the computer completely logged me off (unfortunately it disappeared before I caught what it said). Sometimes it shuts down completely. It only happens when I leave a download running and my computer idle. I've tried changing the Windows power settings in case something is causing it there, but with no difference. Has this happened to anyone else? And how can I fix it? Harold Feit
What internet security software do you have installed?McAfee modules have been causing this a LOT recently.
dclair
I am using Ad-Aware, and I don't even have the real-time protection running cause it slows my computer. I do need to run another scan soon though. There isn't any settings in Bittorrent that could be causing this is there?
Harold Feit
Nope. Bluescreens are caused by kernel level drivers.Internet security software and network adapter drivers are the two biggest causes of bluescreens with torrent clients (in order of frequency)
