Pepanee Posted August 30, 2015 Report Posted August 30, 2015 Hi, I've been looking on the web for a certain thing that BitTorrent does. Whenever I try to download a torrent with multiple files in it, sometimes I download only 1 file, and skip the rest of the files. The issue is that BitTorrent STILL downloads the beginning and end pieces of all the skipped files. The "bt.prio_first_last_piece" options is set to "false" in the options, yet this is still happening. This wouldn't bother me at all if all the other files, that I skipped, are a few like 5 files or something, but when there's hundreds of files in a torrent, BitTorrent tries to download all of the beginning and end pieces of every single file, until it starts working on the file that I want. What do I do to fix this? Thanks.
Pepanee Posted September 9, 2015 Author Report Posted September 9, 2015 I am wondering if anyone else experience this bug. I've uninstalled BitTorrent and re-installed it, an this still happens. What can I do to fix this?
Harold Feit Posted September 10, 2015 Report Posted September 10, 2015 I've got people looking into it.
Pepanee Posted September 28, 2015 Author Report Posted September 28, 2015 Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for looking into it. I noticed that this happens for some torrents, and for others, they skip the files correctly.
