Bit And Utorrents

I have Bit torrent installed, however I kept getting this error saying that "torrent not valid bencoding:,  Well I downloaded Utorrent and it kept asking me to make either bit of Utorrent my prime.  I selected bit, now utorrent will not except any more torrent, they all just go to bit.  How do you change it to go to either one.  Also how do these magnet downloads work, all I ever see when I download it, is the file , but no data.

The error you are getting tell me that the problem is with the site you're getting your torrents from, not with BitTorrent.

Ij'm not talking about the bencoding error, I'm talking about not being able to use, UTorrent.  I have both on my system but when I try and download something it auto's to bittorrent.  How do I get it  so I can use both.  Not at the same time, but if I have UTorrent running, to have the files I'm selecting run on it, and not have bittorrent auto start and the files sent there to download.

You set the default app for torrents in uTorrent to be uTorrent

You have to forgive my lack of tech savvy, as I'm new.  You'll have to be a bit more simplistic in your explanations.  The closest thing I see to settings-general, is under options-prefs-general.  And even then I don't see the feature you are talking about.
