lfc Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 Why is my torrent stuck at "connecting to peers" forever? Here is a picture of my tracking list.....
SenpaiHappy Posted January 31, 2016 Report Posted January 31, 2016 I just got a freaking email regarding this question... I never even use this site. Any ways... It looks like you may have just found an old torrent that uses trackers that are no longer running or maybe you've got an isp blocking those trackers so you're unable to see the hosts. I don't know, I'm not an expert, I'm just a random guy who got an email mentioning this question. COME ON BITTORRENT ARE YOU THIS DESPERATE TO HAVE A BIGGER COMMUNITY HERE?! So pretty much... Just find a new torrent that you know has a large number of active seeds. If it's happening to other torrents too talk to your ISP or try out a VPN. I'm unsubscribing to all coms from this annoying site now or perhaps deleting my account. So that's it for me. Good luck with your problem. Don't trust stuff here if they're just emailing random people to source your answers. Maybe you got lucky with me idk!
RomanZ Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 @SenpaiHappy I apologize for inconvenience. The forum engine was upgraded recently and I believe there is some issue with notifications. I've disabled all notifications for your account and will check why forum decided to notify you.
OnyxOnix Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 I'm having the same problem. Availability says 7.000, but three of my trackers say 'not allowed'. And again, download stuck on 'connecting to peers 0.0%'. Sorry for not being helpful, I just wanted to find a solution too, by following this thread.
Harold Feit Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 Onyx, the three that say "Not allowed" are ones that are disabled when the private flag is in the torrent. What's the status on the OTHER trackers in that torrent.
OnyxOnix Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 Harold, there was one other tracker. Its status was something like 'updating in [x time, counting down from 30mins]', and the name of it was similar to the website I acquired the torrent from.
Harold Feit Posted February 2, 2016 Report Posted February 2, 2016 That doesn't sound like a status from BitTorrent. That sounds like some third party client.
